Posh U18s are back in Under-18 Professional Development League action.

Peterborough United U18s return to Under-18 Professional Development League campaign on Saturday morning (10:30am) as they face Watford FC U18s at Watford FC Training Ground.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce’s side picked up an impressive victory last weekend, beating Huddersfield Town U18s 5-2 to progress into the next round of the league cup and have been in excellent form in the league, winning four of their last five games and currently sit fourth in the table.

The Hornets are unbeaten in their last four games in the league and are currently in fifth-place in the South Division, with Posh U18s boss expecting a tough game against the London-based side.

Speaking ahead of the game, Campbell-Ryce said: “It’s always a tough game playing against a London-based team, especially Watford, as they have a little bit more edge to them and more street-wised. However, we are prepared and see how it goes against a tough side.

“We expect them to be quick and direct after looking at some of their highlights from this season, they are very direct and no afraid to go back to front really quickly, so we have to be cautious about that. As long as we don’t get outworked and maintain our playing principles, then we always have a good chance of getting the three points.”

Updates of the game will be provided as much as possible on The Posh Academy Twitter account (@theposhacademy).
