It wasn't as uncomfortably hot as Monday, but the temperatures were still challenging for the players as they completed two sessions on the second day of St. George's Park.
The squad began day two in the gym with a pre-hab session to get them ready for the hard work that was in front of them down on Pitch 12 at England's National Centre.
Once that was complete, it was into the sunshine for a position specific session; the attacking players were working on finishing drills with First Team Coach Kevin Russell, the midfielders were put through their paces by manager Darren Ferguson and Ryan Semple, while Assistant Manager Kieran Scarff spent time with the defenders.
There were plenty of excellent goals scored, while the goalkeepers showcased their shot-saving ability with some superb saves.
After lunch, it was a small rest before it was back to the pitch for more of a physical session as the players were working on facets of the formation, as well as pressing and possession. A gym session followed before the players were back in the main building for dinner.
Midfielder Donay O'Brien-Brady is well aware that pre-season is hugely important - he benefitted from some good performances in friendly matches last term and featured in the first team throughout the campaign.
"It is about training well and then showing what you can do in the games, you have to be at it at all times and that will give you the best chance of getting into the team.
"For me, pre-season was really important for me last season and I got my rewards with opportunities in the starting XI, it is down to me to do that again this year," O'Brien-Brady said.
