Posh 'A' team record emphatic win over Mansfield.

Posh wanted to start the game where they left off last time out against Leicester. They did that by scoring within 40 seconds against Mansfield. A great pattern of play which had come from the training ground helped to put the Blues in front.

Posh were then looking to push on and put the game out of reach for Mansfield. However, with Posh having the majority of possession they were caught out at the back and Mansfield got themselves an equaliser.

Posh were still seeing more off the ball and got themselves back in front from Gale who gambled on a shot which was spilt by the keeper. Posh went into half time with the lead and were looking to extend this into the second period.

Straight after the re-start, Nassunculo got his first of the day, converting after a good team goal. Through another pattern of play, Mucklin made it 4-1, converting from close-range after his initial effort was saved. Mansfield quickly reduced the arrears once more and added a third to really make things nervy.

However, Gray insured Posh re-established their two goal lead, as a nice piece of skill beat the defender and his shot across the goalkeeper found the top corner. Nassunculo increased his goal scoring tally by adding another two goals before the final whistle from some excellent individual play. Posh were always comfortable in the game, but made it harder for themselves by not taking all the chances they created from great patterns of play.

Posh: Bland, Nassunculo, Powell, Gale, Gray, Finley, Mucklin, Keilty
