The French under 18s secured a spot-kick success against England at the ABAX Stadium.

The England under 18s were beaten on penalty kicks by their French counterparts in front of over 3,000 supporters at the ABAX Stadium, but secured success in the mini-tournament thanks to an success over Poland at Stevenage last week.

The English young guns created chances during the 90 minutes with Jonathan Leko denied by the French goalkeeper inside the opening quarter of an hour.

England goalkeeper Jake Turner denied Myziane Maolida with a fine stop while the exciting Rafik Guitane also went close during a lively showing.

Despite late pressure in normal time, the game went straight to penalty kicks and it was West Bromwich Albion youngster Jonathan Leko that missed the decisive penalty, skying his effort over the bar.

The French converted all five of their spot-kicks and ended the tournament on a high.
