Posh host Port Vale in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday.

Peterborough United entertain Port Vale at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm) in Sky Bet League One action with Graham Westley's men looking to build on last weekend's 1-1 draw at high-flying Wigan Athletic.

The Posh boss could welcome back midfielder Chris Forrester and striker Lee Angol from injury while Martin Samuelsen and Gabi Zakuani are rated as doubtful.

Goalkeeper Ben Alnwick remains a doubt so Stuart Moore could well continue between the sticks after an excellent display at the DW Stadium last weekend.

Boss Westley said: "Our big players are coming back and we need them to help the younger, inexperienced ones like Simon Gillett did at Wigan last weekend.

“Port Vale is a tough game. They looked a strong outfit when we drew with them at their place. They are workmanlike, but they are very effective at what they do.

“They’ve found themselves in a good position following a consistent run of form, but we had a good result ourselves last weekend and we want to build on that," Westley said.

Mark Tyler, who joined the club as player-coach this week, will be in the dugout for the first time after rejoining this week.

The club will be supporting Kick it Out this weekend with players wearing t-shirts ahead of kick-off and the message will be displayed around the stadium.

Tickets are on sale for the game at www.theposhtickets.com, via the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 847 1934* and in person at the ABAX Stadium Box Office.
