The Posh under 18s recorded back to back wins in the Youth Alliance League.

The Peterborough United under 18s made it two wins on the spin after a 3-1 victory over local rivals Northampton Town in their lastest league fixture.

Ollie Humphrey, Kweku Lucan and Deon Moore secured all three points for the Posh side and manager Kieran Scarff was pleased with his side's application as well as their performance.

'I was pleased with the team's application. They had a good win the previous week and the challenge of consistency that we always throw at them was on the table and they responded well. Conditions were very difficult, it was a boggy pitch and a strong wind, but throughout the 90 minutes, I always felt comfortable.

'We perhaps had a bit of luck towards the end of the first half with a penalty decision not given, but I think the lads deserved that bit of luck in the manner that they had approached the game. In the second half, playing into a strong wind, we produced more fluent football and went on to win comfortably.

'We missed four one on one's which would have seen a far more comfortable score-line. Another pleasing aspect was the character the lads showed when they conceded to make it 2-1, they didn't let their heads drop and got a third soon afterwards.

'I am a big believer that if anyone applies themselves properly, when you need that bit of luck, you are likely to get it.

'It was very pleasing and very good of Jack Collison to come and work with myself and Ryan Semple at the game. Jack wasn't in the first team squad for the fixture at Crewe and asked if he could come and get involved. He is working through his coaching badges at the minute, so to have his input and his experience on the side of the pitch was good and the boys enjoyed that experience,' Scarff said.
