Striker Tyrone Barnett has completed a permanent move to Sky Bet League Two club Shrewsbury Town for an undisclosed fee.

Peterborough United front man Tyrone Barnett has joined Sky Bet League Two promotion-chasers Shrewsbury Town for an undisclosed fee, penning a two-and-half-year deal with the Shropshire club.

Barnett, who has enjoyed loan spells with Ipswich Town, Bristol City and Oxford United in recent times, passed a medical on transfer deadline day and completed the paperwork in time to get the deal over the line before the 11pm deadline.

Barnett joined Posh from Crawley Town in May 2012 and scored eight goals in 50 appearances in all competitions for the club after his loan move was turned into a permanent transfer.

Shrewsbury currently have former Posh centre back Nathaniel Knight-Percival in their ranks.
