Full house for hugely successful Sportsman’s Dinner.
Over 270 guests packed into the Holiday Inn in Peterborough on Friday night for the latest football club Sportsman’s Dinner and this was arguably the best one yet with former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham boss Harry Redknapp entertaining diners with tales from his career.
Redknapp had guests on the edge of their seats as he recounted his long and illustrious career with plenty of jokes along the way. Redknapp, who was linked to the England job prior to the appointment of Roy Hodgson, spoke glowingly about some of the game’s greats, including Bobby Moore as well as some more unusual stories from the game he loves.
The club also held a raffle and a hugely successful auction on the evening, which was arranged by the Commercial Team, Alex Harris and Horris Jones. Harris commented: ‘It was definitely our best Sportsman’s Dinner yet. We had over 270 people in attendance and that showed just how popular Harry is as a speaker.
‘We are now looking forward to our next event which takes place in the New Year with Ian Wright and Adrian Durham. It promises to be another great night,’ Harris said. If you are interested in finding out more about the next event, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01733 563947.
