Leonardo Da Silva Lopes has penned a professional deal at the ABAX Stadium.

Peterborough United Football Club can confirm that teenager Leonardo Da Silva Lopes has penned a two-and-a-half year professional contract at the ABAX Stadium.

Da Silva Lopes, who has already made his first team debut, making him one of the youngest players ever to represent the club at senior level, put pen to paper on the deal after turning 17-years-old.

The attacking player, who can operate in wide positions or in the number 10 role, has been a regular for the club's under 21 side since joining the club from Powerleague.

Director of Football Barry Fry said: 'Leo is the most talented 16-year-old I have seen since George Best and I expect big things from him so I am delighted that he has signed his pro deal with us here at Peterborough United.'
