Posh host Bristol City at London Road on Tuesday night in Sky Bet League One action (7.45pm).

Following the 4-2 victory over Crewe Alexandra on Saturday, Darren Ferguson's men will be looking for a second successive league victory to strengthen the club's position in the play-off places.

Posh are six points clear of Milton Keynes Dons with a game in hand and face the Dons away from home on Saturday. Bristol City go into Tuesday night's fixture on the back of a 3-2 away success at Shrewsbury Town.

In terms of team news, striker Kyle Vassell is definitely out with a broken toe, but defender Nathaniel Knight-Percival has a chance of being fit after missing the last two games with an eye injury.

Scotsman Danny Swanson will serve the first of a two-match ban after collecting his 10th booking of the season against Crewe.

Boss Darren Ferguson said: 'Bristol City had a good win at the weekend, so there is no doubt it will be a tough match. I think it is a testament to how tough this league is that Bristol City have struggled a bit this season, but they have some excellent players.

'Sam Baldock has played from a wide area in recent weeks so we are aware of that and they have a lot of other good players in attacking areas.

'I watched Saturday's game back and we could have won the game by double the score-line that we did and that is encouraging,' Ferguson said.

On-loan striker Tyrone Barnett is unable to play against Posh as per the teams of his agreement.
