Posh travel to Portman Road on Saturday for a 'huge' npower Championship fixture (3pm).

Peterborough United travel to Portman Road on Saturday to face Ipswich Town in the  npower Championship with manager Darren Ferguson describing the fixture as 'huge'.

The Tractor Boys were beaten 6-0 by Leicester City last weekend, while Posh were defeated 4-1 by Blackburn Rovers in a televised game at London Road.

Both sides have strengthened their squads since those defeats, although Ipswich will not be able to play Tyrone Barnett due to the terms of his loan agreement from Posh.

Midfielder George Thorne and striker Dwight Gayle are both in the Posh squad for the match after signing on-loan from West Bromwich Albion and Dagenham and Redbridge respectively.

In terms of injury news, full-back Mark Little returns to action after a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, but Tommy Rowe is rated as a doubtful.

'Mark is back and that is a boost because he has been playing well and it gives us more defensive options,' Ferguson said. 'However, Tommy is still 50-50. We had hoped he would of been able to train more this week, but we will leave it as late as possible to see if he makes it or not.

'George and Dwight are added to the squad and they will feature at some point. We may have to be more patient with Dwight, but both have trained very well since joining us,' Ferguson added.

Posh defeated the Tractor Boys 7-1 at London Road last season while the last time Posh were involved in a 0-0 draw came at Portman Road the first time the club sampled Championship life.
