Josh Knight celebrates scoring his goal against Burton Albion

Jonson Clarke-Harris came off the substitutes bench to create the key second goal for Josh Knight and then scored the third as Posh ran out 3-1 winners at Burton Albion.

Peterborough United made it five wins in a row in all competitions and four straight Sky Bet League One wins as Darren Ferguson's men overcame Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium and it was a day that demonstrated the power of the squad.

Jonson Clarke-Harris was introduced with the score at 1-1 and created the second for Josh Knight before tapping home fellow substitute Malik Mothersille's stylish assist to put the seal on an important win on the road.

Posh started the game strongly with Ricky-Jade Jones seeing an early effort following a slick move kept out by the legs of Crocombe.

Harrison Burrows saw a deflected shot kept out by the keeper moments later as Posh continued to probe for the breakthrough.

It could have arrived midway through the first half as Ephron Mason-Clark's cross deflected into the air and was met by Joel Randall on the volley, but somehow the defender on the line made an expert block.

Archie Collins fired wide from distance before Kamwa steered a shot over the top after a low cross into the box.

On 55 minutes, Posh got their noses in front and it was a clever finish from JONES who finished past the keeper from a Burrows cross for his professional goal with his head.

On 62 minutes, Oshilaja headed against the post from a Joe Powell free-kick before Posh somehow hacked the ball clear.

On 69 minutes, the Brewers levelled the scores as substitute OLA-ADEBOMI got the final touch after a long Hamer throw was flicked on by Sweeney.

Three minutes from time, Posh got their noses in front as a clipped cross from Edwards was knocked down by Clarke-Harris and fired home by Josh KNIGHT for his second goal in a week.

Five minutes of stoppage time was indicated and Posh extended their advantage as substitute Mothersille showed a neat piece of skill to beat the defender and lay it on a plate for CLARKE-HARRIS who tapped home from close-range.
