Matthew Garbett joined Posh in the summer of 2025 following a spell in the Netherlands with NEC Breda where he featured over 50 times at the top level in the country, scoring memorably against Ajax. A New Zealand international, with over 30 caps to his name, he can operate in any midfield position and likes to get forward and support the attack. Has also played in his homeland, Sweden and Italy as he embarks on his first foray into English football. He was born in London, but moved to New Zealand as a child.
