Posh make the trip to Adams Park on Saturday afternoon to face Wycombe Wanderers in Sky Bet League One action (3pm).
Peterborough United are back on the road on Saturday afternoon as Luke Williams' side travel to Buckinghamshire to face Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park in Sky Bet League One action (3pm).
The Chairboys are ninth, with Posh occupying 12th in a congested league table, but the home side are unbeaten in their last four fixtures in all competitions and won their last outing at Northampton Town.
Posh have lost just twice in the last nine matches but were beaten at the Weston Homes Stadium last time out as Plymouth Argyle secured a 1-0 victory thanks to a Bim Pepple strike.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are waiting on the fitness of striker Harry Leonard, who needs to go through concussion protocol before being given the green light to be involved. Ben Woods, Harley Mills, David Okagbue, Sam Hughes, Rio Adebisi, Tom O'Connor and Jacob Mendy are all injured, while Peter Kioso is serving a one-match ban following his red card last weekend.
Josh Scowen and Jack Grimmer are sidelined for the Chairboys, but Luke Harris could make his debut after signing on-loan from Premier League side Fulham earlier this week.
ONE TO WATCH
Fred Onyedinma
Wycombe Wanderers pulled off the signing their supporters had been craving all summer with the return of Fred Onyedinma (pictured below) to the club on a free transfer in September 2024.
The winger played eight times in the Premier League for Luton Town having helped the Hatters win promotion in his second season, and also impressed for Rotherham United during a loan spell.
His affiliation with the Chairboys stretches back to 2014 when he arrived on loan from Millwall as a teenager, scoring eight times in 27 appearances in his first full season as a professional, and became a regular in the Lions’ side at both League One and Championship level before returning to Adams Park on loan in 2018. He was on target in the win at Northampton Town last time out.
MANAGER QUOTES
"Wycombe are a good side and it will be another tough League One match for us, but it is one that we are looking forward too. I think Wycombe are in a position whereby they are looking to get back to the Championship, their previous manager was a casualty of results earlier in the season ,but they have been on a good run. We need to get back to what we have been doing well to get a positive result," Williams said.
