The Peterborough United Women’s Northern Premier League fixture with Loughborough Lightning on Sunday 13th September will now remain at PIMS Park.
The club were hopeful that the game could take place at the Weston Homes Stadium, but logistical challenges have unfortunately meant that is not possible.
The club can confirm that discussions are ongoing with regards to a future game at the stadium this season. Anyone who had purchased tickets for the game at the Weston Homes Stadium will be refunded.
Iain Crawford, the director responsible for the Women’s team, said: “Our form at PIMS Park, the home of Peterborough Sports, has been fantastic since we moved there and we thank Tim and his team for re-accommodating us for this particular fixture and look forward to what should be an entertaining game against Loughborough.
“We continue to discuss opportunities at the Weston Homes Stadium for the Women’s team within the parameters of the schedule. We apologise for any inconvenience the change of venue might have, but we hope that supporters turn out in force for the game with Loughborough and get behind Jake, Lou and the squad.”
Tickets for the game at PIMS Park will be available to purchase from Thursday at www.theposhtickets.com
