The Women’s Academy has secured new funding to increase the number of female staff working across the programme, including roles in coaching, strength and conditioning, and medical support. As part of this, we’ve allocated funding to help 1st Team and U18 players gain experience in football coaching.
Players who already hold a coaching qualification can register straight into our new Female Leaders Network. For those without a qualification, we will be running a Stepping Over the Sidelines workshop across two evenings to help you get started. In future seasons, additional funding will be available to support players in completing formal coaching qualifications. This can then feed into the Female Leaders Network.
The Stepping Over the Sidelines workshop will run on Tuesday 3rd March and Monday 9th March in the evenings. The Monday will be in Sawtry, I am just confirming if the Tuesday session can be delivered online or not.
