Defender Evan Weir became the club's first summer arrival and he feels he has already settled into his new surroundings as he looks ahead to the new campaign.
The left-sided defender already had a good friend at the club in former Walsall team-mate David Okagbue, but he admits he is already feeling comfortable both on and off the pitch in the city.
Weir, who is part of the Posh squad currently in Spain for a pre-season training camp, has also been doing extra sessions to give himself the best chance of establishing himself in the starting XI.
"It has been really enjoyable, the lads are a good group and they have helped me settle in. I have enjoyed the training sessions and myself and Dave have been doing extras as well so when the day is done, I am shattered, but you have to put the work in.
"During pre-season so far, we have been doing quite a few double sessions with tactical work in the afternoon and that has been hugely beneficial. It really helps the way the manager wants to play, you understand players a lot more in terms of their qualities when you are doing 11 v 11 sessions.
"I think the bigger pitch sessions is a great way of learning what is expected of you, because ultimately that is how it is going to be on a Saturday. I like to learn and improve every day.
"It is nice to be out here in Spain with the rest of the squad, the first day was a lot of travelling, so the training session was short and sharp, but we know the rest of the week will be tough, we have two games and a lot of training sessions, so we are looking forward to it," Weir said.
