Posh U21s v Hull City U21s

The Posh Under 18s were undone by a late goal on the counter-attack as Hull City claimed all three points at the Weston Homes Stadium.

The Peterborough United Under 21s played some good football at times and scored two excellent goals, but were ultimately beaten by a talented Hull City side at the Weston Homes Stadium on Friday afternoon despite a first goal at the age level by Andre Changunda.

Striker Pemi Aderoju saw an early effort saved after using his strength to create a bit of space inside the penalty area. On 12 minutes, goalkeeper Fynn Talley was cautioned for handball outside of the area and from the resulting free-kick, Rocco COYLE found the back of the net with a well-struck effort from 20-yards.

Donay O'Brien-Brady saw a close-range effort blocked before appeals for a spot-kick were turned down by the referee. On 34 minutes, O'Brien-Brady was denied by a fine save by Foster as Posh pushed for a leveller.

They came even closer moments later as Aderoju's goal-bound header was somehow clawed to safety by the impressive Foster.

Posh did level from the resulting set-piece as a corner from Harley Mills was headed back across goal by Trialist B with CHANGUNDA diverting the ball over the line.

On 50 minutes, Covill was kept out by Talley before Changunda had a great opportunity to put Posh ahead after racing clear, but Foster made a smart stop.

Four minutes later, the Tigers got their noses in front as CHIBANGA drilled a low shot past Talley on the counter-attack. GREEN extended the advantage for the visitors on 68 minutes with a fine left-footed shot from 20-yards and Chibanga could have made it four but his shot went wide of the target.

On 73 minutes, Posh reduced the arrears and it was a fine goal by TRIALIST A who drilled a powerful strike past Foster and into the bottom corner.

On 81 minutes, Posh levelled and it was a fine goal from substitute Tom UNWIN who drifted past two defenders before placing a left-foot shot past Foster.

Hull got the fourth and ultimately the winner six minutes from time as they took advantage of an injury to left-back Aaron Powell, allowing COVIL to tap in at the far post unmarked.
