The Peterborough United under 18s are back in action on Saturday morning (11am) as they welcome Wigan Athletic to the idverde Training Ground.

Jimmy Unwin's men were beaten by Birmingham City last time out but there were positives to take from their performance and they are looking for a strong display against the Latics.

Unwin said: "Wigan are a strong side, they are aggressive and they will play on the front foot. I really like the way they play the game so we will have to be at it.

"For 30 minutes against Birmingham we were good, we have to build on that, we just need to stay in the game for longer because at the minute, when we concede one, ir turns into two and three and that gives you a mountain to climb.

"We need to be more ruthless in both boxes. One of the issues at Birmingham we had was the fact we were punished playing through the middle of the pitch and then 30 seconds later after the re-start we did exactly the same. We just need to learn what is important at different moments in the game.

"It is little bits of detail, some are getting it and when they all get it, we will start producing better results."

Defender Fabien Claxton is expected to miss out with an ankle injury, but the rest of the squad are available. Updates will be available here.
