Posh Under 18s Training

Cordell Morgan-Antonio and Bamlak Dagne were on target as the Posh Under 18s picked up a point from their latest Professional Development League fixture.

The Peterborough United Under 18s drew 2-2 at second placed Bolton Wanderers on Saturday morning with Hugh Alban-Jones' side coming away from Lancashire with a creditable point.

Posh found themselves 2-0 down against the Trotters but MORGAN-ANTONIO fired into the bottom corner after a good run and cut-back from Harrah Jones before DAGNE scored a fine individual goal 12 minutes from time, cutting inside onto his right-foot to find the back of the net after Junior Crozier picked him out in a dangerous position.

"It was a competitive game. We started the game quite slow and found ourselves 1-0 down to a great strike from 20-yards and then a few minutes later we were 2-0 down, but the boys did well to stabilise and get a goal before half-time.

"We were quite threatening in the first half going forward, hit the bar and made the goalkeeper work and we got the goal back I felt we deserved just before the break from Cordell.

"We dominated the game in the second half and got the goal we deserved through Bamlak, he was aggressive, chopped back inside the defender and found the corner excellently. We were pushing for a winner.

"I was pleased with the groups togetherness, resilience and belief in how they kept going right to the final whistle. We created a lot of chances, that is pleasing, but we know we need to be more clinical and obviously when you go 2-0 down, you give yourselves a mountain to climb.

"I am happy for the two wingers to score, pleased with the impact of the substitutes, and lots of positives to take," Alban-Jones said.
