Chibuzo Okoli scored within 10 minutes of his introduction from the bench as the Posh Under 18s drew 1-1 with Coventry City at the weekend.
The Peterborough United Under 18s picked up their first point of the Professional Development League season, but there was a tinge of disappointment they couldn't collect all three after a positive performance against Coventry City at the Bespoke Builds Training Ground.
Substitute Chibuzo Okoli netted the Posh goal in the second half, but the Sky Blues scored a late penalty after a foul by Nathaniel Joseph to secure a point.
Interim Under 18s boss Hugh Alban-Jones said: "It was a very tight, contested game. We weren't clinical enough in front of goal and then gave away a penalty towards the end.
"It was a good team performance overall, but there is plenty to work on and plenty to improve on and the lads are working hard to do so. We scored a good goal, Kurtis came in off the wing, linked well with Harrah and Okoli was brave to get there ahead of the goalkeeper. That is two in two for him, so a good start to the season."
Posh are next in action against AFC Wimbledon in the PDL Cup on Saturday.
