Benjamin McWilliams-Marcano

The Under 18s were beaten 3-1 by Hull City at the weekend, but Lead Coach Jimmy Unwin felt there were plenty of positives to take from the performance despite the defeat.

Benji McWilliams-Marcano continued his fine form in front of goal with a composed finish and Posh carved out a number of opportunities to take something from the game, but the Tigers scored a breakaway third to make the game safe.

"It was a good game and a decent performance. I thought there were plenty of positives to take, we got ourselves into good positions in the final third, but the final bit was lacking on the day.

"At 2-1, we hit the post twice and they scored in the final few moments on the breakaway to make the game safe. There are always learnings when you lose, but to be honest, the lads are in a good place at the minute."

Posh are next in action after the Easter break as they welcome AFC Bournemouth to the Bespoke Builds Training Ground.
