Kurtis Simmons was on target, but the Under 18s suffered a 3-1 defeat to Crewe Alexandra at the weekend.
The Peterborough United Under 18s were beaten 3-1 by Crewe Alexandra in Professional Development League action last Saturday afternoon with striker Kurtis Simmons on target for Jimmy Unwin's men.
The Railwaymen opened the scoring in the 13th minute of the contest but SIMMONS levelled the scores on 67th minute with a well-taken finish. Posh created chances to go in front, but were ultimately undone by two goals in the final 10 minutes of the game.
Lead Under 18s Coach Jimmy Unwin said: "It was a game of two halves. We were poor in the first half, very passive, struggled to get going and Crewe were very good with their rotations.
"In the second half, we were much better, we changed our shape, changed some personnel managing minutes and dominated the game, we had lots of shots and we were disappointed to only score the one goal.
"It was a tap in, in terms of the goal from Kurtis, but I felt he deserved it for his second half performance playing as a number nine. I am pleased he got the score-sheet again."
Posh: Westcott, Ndonjang, Fraser, Christoudias, Aikins, Arber, McWilliams-Marcano, Norville, Mfuri, Crozier, Simmons. Subs: Bucknor, Joseph, Bushell, Sudakaran, Mlitvalwa.
