Sheffield Wednesday condemn the Posh under 18s to defeat in latest league fixture.
The Peterborough United under 18s suffered a 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in their latest Professional Development League fixture with the Owls scoring late on in the first half and a minute before time to secure all three points.
The Owls were always in control of the contest and Lead Coach Jimmy Unwin admitted afterwards that the better side won.
"Sheffield Wednesday are a good side, they played well on the day and they deserved to win the game. We didn't reach the heights that we can and ultimately we didn't do enough to take anything from the game.
"The positives are that we got 90 minutes into Tom Unwin, who I thought put in a really strong performance."
The under 18s are next in action on Saturday when they travel to Charlton Athletic (11am).
