We are pleased to announce that attacking midfielder Patryk Sykut has put pen to paper on a new long-term professional contract with the club.
The teenager, who made his debut for Ukraine at the recent European Under 19s Championship in Wales, has had a whirlwind 12 months, which has seen him make his first-team debut, score his first senior goal and be called into two international squads.
He signed his first professional contract at the turn of the year after making strong progress with the Under 18s and Under 21s, including an eye-catching performance in the FA Youth Cup defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Since then, he has been a regular in the first-team squad and is set to be part of Luke Williams' squad for the 2026/27 campaign, which gets underway in August.
"I want to thank everyone, God, my team-mates, coaches and family for all their help and guidance, I am delighted to sign this new deal and I am looking forward to what is to come.
"This club has a rich history of giving young players opportunities and that is why I am really pleased to be here, it is down to me to continue to work hard and show the management what I can offer.
"It has been a great summer already, I need to build on that and take it into the season. That is my aim. Hopefully I can be involved on Saturday against West Bromwich Albion," Sykut said.
Posh welcome the Baggies to the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday (3pm) for the final pre-season game ahead of the Carabao Cup tie at Bristol Rovers next weekend. Tickets can be purchased here
