Patryk Sykut

Patryk Sykut has been named in the Ukraine Under 19 squad for the upcoming European Championships in Wales. 

Peterborough United Academy graduate Patryk Sykut has been selected by Ukraine Under 19s for the forthcoming European Under 19s Championships, taking place in Wales. 

Sykut, has been selected in a squad, which includes players representing Belgian side Gent, Union Berlin in Germany and Empoli in Italy, for the tournament, which kicks-off at the end of the month.

Ukraine are in a group with Croatia, Serbia and Italy with the games taking place across Wales, including the Racecourse Ground, home of Wrexham. 

Sykut has made nine appearances in the Posh first team, scoring on his first start, the 3-3 draw with Exeter City at the Weston Homes Stadium.

Academy Director Dan Robinson said: "It is a fantastic opportunity for Patryk! He has had a breakout campaign with the first team and that has brought him into the forefront of the attention of international sides. 

"We look forward to seeing how he does against some top European opposition. it will be a great experience for him."
