Peterborough United Women are tasked with a trip to the Second City on Sunday afternoon (2pm) when they take on Sutton Coldfield in the FAWNL Midlands.

Peterborough United Women will look to build on their early-season form when they meet with the Royals this weekend.

So far, only Boldmere St. Michaels, Leafield Athletic, and ourselves stand undefeated in the league programme, following our wins over Notts County and Lincoln United.

Jake Poole’s side made a real statement against the Whites, as our quintet were on the scoresheet in an 8-0 victory at PIMS Park.

Anna Pitt, Jess Rousseau and Lauren Wilshaw all recorded braces, while new arrival Freya Andersen and Kayleigh Hines added to the act on our return to the city.

TEAM NEWS

Striker Tara Kirk remains unavailable due to injury while defender Hayley James is nearing full fitness after an injury sustained during pre-season. Emily Meli is also nearing fitness after a spell on the sidelines.

MANAGER QUOTES

“They will pose a new challenge; a new manager and new players as well, so it’s a different challenge perhaps to what we faced last year. They’ve obviously had a mixed start to the season, playing really well in their first game of the season, and were really competitive last week - but we’re looking forward to it," Jake Poole said.
