There were victories for the first team, under 21s, under 18s, under 16s and the women’s team at the weekend.

It was a good weekend for Peterborough United!

The first team were 2-0 winners at Forest Green Rovers thanks to goals from Jonson Clarke-Harris and Hector Kyprianou, a third successive victory for Darren Ferguson’s men to move within three points of Barnsley in the Sky Bet League One table.

On Friday, the under 21s were 2-1 winners at Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League Cup thanks to goals from Johnson Gyamfi and Reuben Marshall, a tremendous success at a Category One Academy for Ryan Semple and Danny Walker.

On Saturday morning, the under 18s moved into the semi-finals of the under 18 Professional Development League Cup thanks to a 2-1 win at Doncaster Rovers with Torin Ntege bagging the winner after Harry Titchmarsh’s strike was cancelled out by the hosts.

Meanwhile, the under 16s beat Swansea City on penalties in the under 16 Professional Development League Cup quarter-final with a semi-final to look forward too for Elio Salerno’s young charges.

On Sunday, the Posh Women moved into the semi-finals of the Northants County Cup where they will face Northampton Town after a comprehensive 9-1 victory over AFC Rushden and Diamonds with skipper Keir Perkins bagging a hat-trick to take her club tally to 150 goals.
