Peterborough United Women will look to move four points clear at the top when they travel to Stourbridge Women on Sunday (2pm).
A packed week arrives for Jake Poole’s team, who have the chance to pull further clear at the top with three games on the cards in the next seven days, starting with a trip to the West Midlands on Sunday.
A fixture cancelled twice already, a win on Sunday will take us four points clear at the top with a game in hand, while every point matters at the other end for our opponents, who find themselves in the bottom two, despite clear improvements in a recent run.
Last week’s win over Sutton Coldfield made it 13 unbeaten in the FA Women’s National League Midlands as we continue to have designs on automatic promotion.
TEAM NEWS
Niamh Reynolds continues to build her match fitness and is expected to feature in the matchday squad again on Sunday. There are a few concerns elsewhere that will continue to be assessed properly.
MANAGER QUOTES
"It’s an improved Stourbridge from the first half of the season from what we have seen, and the results show that as well. They are a team that will look to play at times, which obviously the conditions may make that look a little bit different, but they have lots to play for, and we are expecting a really competitive game," Jake Poole said.
