Kurtis Simmons scored a brace as the Posh Under 18s made it back-to-back victories with a 2-1 win over Barnsley.
The Peterborough United Under 18s followed up the 5-2 win at Queens Park Rangers at the weekend with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Barnsley at the Bespoke Builds Training Ground.
It was Kurtis Simmons who was the difference-maker, the youngster scoring twice, as the Tykes were beaten in Professional Development League action.
Lead Under 18s coach Jimmy Unwin said: "The players have been scoring a lot of goals, which has been brilliant, obviously there are areas that we need to improve on defensively, but the aim is to finish the season as strong as we can.
"I have to say, at this time of the season, some players have been told that they won't be with us next season. Some have already got trials elsewhere, but credit to those players because they are going out there and performing for us in these games."
