Peterborough United Women will turn their attentions to a trip to Sheffield FC on Sunday (2pm).
December’s break from the FA Women’s National League is now a distant memory as Jake Poole’s side looks to make it back-to-back wins and reclaim top spot.
A comfortable 3-0 win over Notts County last time out moved us to within two points of Boldmere St Michaels - albeit with two games in hand over the Mikes, who face Worcester City away from home on the weekend.
Sunday's game poses a chance for Poole's side to make it 12 unbeaten in the league, but it won't be a simple one, as the hosts are only within a point of third spot and are having a strong season themselves.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are without the services of Niamh Reynolds due to injury and one or two others within the squad face a race against time to be fit for the fixture.
MANAGER QUOTES
"They're in really good form and have won five out of the last six games, but that's to be expected. They are a good club, and their coaching staff are highly regarded at this level. As a newly promoted team, they have found their way of playing, and they're really difficult to beat. We have worked hard this week; we're in a position where we have a game under our belt [since the Christmas break], and a solid win which we can take into the weekend," Jake Poole said.
