Sharpe said: "My time with Posh has been so special and to play with this incredible group is a privilege. I am so proud of all we have achieved on this journey and I couldn't have wished for a better ending."

Poole said: "Emily was one of our first signings when coming into the club and has displayed the professionalism we brought her into the club for consistently throughout her time here as a player.

"She's had an outstanding career at this level and has led by example throughout that. I am delighted to bring her on board the coaching staff and know she will continue show these skills in her new role."

The club will confirm the full make-up of the coaching staff for the 2026-2027 campaign in due course.
