Ben Seymour-Shove

Peterborough United are delighted to announce that Ben Seymour-Shove has accepted the role of Academy Manager with immediate effect.

Seymour-Shove, who previously worked as Dan Robinson's assistant, has been promoted into the role following Robinson's move into the first-team environment alongside manager Robbie Savage. A former Academy player himself, Seymour-Shove is looking forward to the opportunity ahead.

“I am delighted to be given the opportunity to become the Academy Manager at the club. Having been a young player here many years ago, the club means a lot to me, and I am excited to continue the good work that has been happening for a number of years.

“During my time at the club, it is clear we have some fantastic staff, players and people here, and I am looking forward to continuing to work with them while supporting the growth and development of the Academy. Having worked closely with Dan, it is clear the Academy is in a great position, providing excellent foundations to continue moving forward.

“Thank you to everyone at the club, including Darragh, Dawn, Iain and Dan, for the opportunity. I am looking forward to getting started,” Seymour-Shove said.

Following Robbie Savage's appointment as first-team manager, Robinson moved into the role of assistant manager, with PDP Lead Ryan Semple taking on the role of first-team coach.

Robinson believes Seymour-Shove is the perfect appointment. “Ben has been taking on more responsibility over the last 12 months, and he is more than ready for this role. Since rejoining the club after coming through the ranks of the Academy as a player, he has helped maintain the strong relationship we have with Nene Park Academy and has been a hugely popular member of the staff.

“He moved into the role of assistant Academy Manager last year and, since then, he has flourished. He thoroughly deserves this opportunity, and I have no doubt he will be a huge success in the role.

“I will continue to support him alongside the rest of the brilliant staff within the Academy and look forward to continued success.”
