Schools Update

Bobby Copping and Peter Burrow have kicked off the Schools Initiative for the 2022-2023 campaign.

Peterborough United duo Bobby Copping and mascot Peter Burrow have kicked off the Schools Initiative for the new campaign and have already visited several schools across the region to help create Fans for the Future.

The pair have delivered an interactive assembly and given away tickets to a forthcoming Sky Bet League One fixture at the Weston Homes Stadium at Fleetwood Lane Primary, Thorpe Primary School, Ramsey Junior School, Ramsey Spinning Infant School, Leighfield Academy and Nassington Primary School.

Copping said: “It was great to begin the Schools Initiative for the new season earlier this month when the youngsters returned after the summer break, and we have a busy schedule ahead of us as we try and get round as many schools as possible within Peterborough and the surrounding areas.

“Whilst it is brilliant to see the kids and teachers getting involved in the assembly and spending time with Peter, the ultimate aim is try and convert them into Posh fans and the free tickets allows a lot of youngsters to sample live football for the very first time. Hopefully they enjoy it and become regulars – that is what we want.”
