We are delighted to announce that winger Kira Rai has committed her future to the Posh Women for the 2026/27 campaign.
Rai, who scored seven goals in 20 appearances in all competitions last season after arriving from Derby County, has featured in a number of pre-season friendlies and could be in the squad for Sunday's league opener at Rugby Borough.
Manager Jake Poole said: "Kira was a great addition to the squad during last season and an instrumental part in our promotion season, so we are delighted to have her again with us this season."
Rai added: "I am excited to sign on for another season, it is a really great time to be part of the club so it was a no brainer for me to stick around as we go into our first season at Tier 3 level.
"A lot of new faces have been signed during the close season, which is brilliant because we know there will be different challenges to come. As a player you welcome that competition for places.
"I think this league is wide open this year, it will be hugely competitive, but we are all very much looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead. When I signed ahead of last season, I dropped down from Tier 3 to Tier 4 because I wanted to help the club get promoted, it was one of the first conversations I had with Jake, the girls worked so hard to get here, now it is time to embrace the journey."
Posh start their Northern Premier Division season at Rugby Borough on Sunday (3pm) before welcoming Liverpool Feds to PIMS Park next weekend. You can purchase tickets for all of our home games here
