Ahead of the new season for the Professional Development Phase, we can confirm the staffing structure within that set-up.
The Posh Under 18s get their league campaign underway on Saturday 9th August with a trip to Brentford and Jimmy Unwin will be the Lead Coach at that particular age group.
The Under 21s begin their season slightly later with Sam Gaughran the Under 21s Lead Coach. Ryan Semple will be the Senior PDP Lead while Hugh Alban-Jones is the Individual Development and Pathway Lead Coach.
Academy Director Dan Robinson said: "Ryan will be the Senior PDP Lead and will spend time working with the young players both in the first team squad and the Pro Phase, providing development support. Ryan and Jimmy have plemty of experience in youth development and progressing players.
"Hugh will work across the Professional Development Phase and the Youth Phase, focussing on the pathway of our young players. A number of clubs now employ an Elite Player Development Coach - this in effect, is our version of that role.
"Hugh has recently finished his playing career with Peterborough Sports because he wants to continue his coaching journey with us, which is very exciting for him and very exciting for us.
"Hugh was a previous player here, which means there is really good alignment. He has previously been working in a part-time capacity so we are delighted he is now in a full-time role. He has a very bright future in the game as a top coach.
"I first met Sam as a coach back in 2018 on a coaching course with the FA and we look forward to seeing how develops the oldest age group within the Academy with his previous playing background. He is someone who works closely with the first team manager and staff and is very aligned to developing players for the Posh."
We can also confirm that Adam Price will now become the Foundation Phase Recruitment Lead and also support the pre-academy, which feeds into that Foundation with Ben Crawford taking on the role of Youth Development Phase Recruitment Lead. Sam Gaughran will continue to oversee the recruitment within the PDP alongside his 21s role.
Harry Hogg takes on the role of Senior Goalkeeping Lead within the Academy. "It was fantastic to see Harry working with the first team during pre-season. He has grown a lot in the period he has been with us and it is exciting to see him flourishing," Robinson continued.
