Peterborough United Women’s Academy Launches Female Leaders Network
Peterborough United Women’s Academy is proud to announce the launch of the Female Leaders Network, a pioneering initiative designed to empower and connect women working in football across the Peterborough area. Whether you’re on the pitch or behind the scenes, this network is here to support your growth and celebrate your contribution to the game.
What is the Female Leaders Network?
The network brings together women in all football-related roles—coaches, psychologists, medical staff, strength and conditioning specialists, and more. Members will benefit from:
- Invitations to workshops focused on development and best practice.
- Opportunities to observe Academy training sessions and matches, gaining insight into the professional environment.
- Access to a supportive community of like-minded women working in football.
Launch Event
We will be holding a launch event at the Weston Homes Stadium on Sunday 8th March. The event will tie in with the Peterborough United Women’s home match against Worcester City. You will get free tickets to watch the match, a pre match workshop and the opportunity to connect with other female leaders working across Peterborough and the surrounding area.
Mentoring Programme
As part of the network, we’re offering a mentoring programme for female coaches. Successful applicants will receive:
- 2–3 visits from an Academy coach in their own club environment before the end of the season.
- Personalised guidance and support to help develop coaching skills.
Eligibility for Mentoring:
- Must hold a current FA coaching qualification.
- Must be actively coaching at a local club.

How to Apply
- To join the Female Leaders Network: Open to any woman working in football at a local club aged 16+.
- To apply for the Mentoring Programme: Coaches with a current FA qualification can apply.
