Peterborough United Women will be buoyed by last weekend’s win over Boldmere St Michaels when they face Leafield Athletic on Sunday (2pm).
Last week’s win over Boldmere stretched our winning run in the league programme to seven games, and another win at PIMS Park on Sunday would set us up nicely for a trip to South Yorkshire in a week’s time.
It’s a tricky run for Jake Poole – who is up for the October Manager of the Month Award – and his team, facing three of the top four this month, starting with the win over the Mikes, which saw Lauren Wilshaw twice on the scoresheet alongside Kira Rai.
Sunday’s opponents beat Kidderminster Harriers by the same scoreline last time out, taking them to third in the league with only one loss, coming to Barnsley.

Striker Tara Kirk is stepping up her rehab as she nears a return to the first team squad. A number of players missed out on the squad last week and will be pushing for inclusion this week.
