Posh Women v Birmingham City Under 21s

Birmingham City Women Under 21s head to PIMS Park on Sunday (1pm) to close out our pre-season programme.

Peterborough United Women will be aiming to carry their momentum into the new season as they debut at PIMS Park, taking on Georgia Clarke’s Blues – who departed her role with the club in March.

Jess Rousseau’s knack for finding the net continued as she scored twice in the 2-2 draw with London Bees on the weekend, following up on her goals in the wins at Cambridge United and Derby County.

The Blues sealed a strong end to the season, winning the PGA Cup with a 4-3 victory over Leicester City, having also defeated Arsenal and Chelsea in earlier rounds.

TEAM NEWS

Sophie Harris’ recent performances will give Jake Poole a selection headache as goalkeeper Neive Corry nears full fitness. Manager Jake Poole has a number of injuries to contend with ahead of the game and will make a late decision on his XI.

MANAGER QUOTES

"It’s the final step of our pre-season journey, and I think we’ve pieced together what we want to look like and where we want to be, and this will be another tough test as Sunday was, so we’re excited to welcome Birmingham and Georgia who we know well, and really start to see what it all looks like here ahead of the start of the season," Jake Poole said.
