Peterborough United Women will debut at the Weston Homes Stadium this season when they welcome Worcester City on International Women's Day.
Peterborough United Women will face Worcester City at the Weston Homes on International Women’s Day (March 8, 2pm) – and the club is calling on all supporters, families, schools and local teams to help etch our name in the club’s history books.
Jake Poole’s side can credit much of their success to their impressive home form, having taken maximum points while conceding just once on their own ground, and will look to keep the momentum going when they welcome the Lionesses next month.
Among the events taking place on the day, the Matchday Sycamore BMW and Mini Fanzone is open to all supporters, while The Posh Store will also remain open prior to kick-off.
Be sure to catch resident freestyler Jack Dean, as well as club mascots Peter Burrow and Pablo the Penguin, who will be in and around the ground on the day.
There is plenty to be won as well, including free tickets and signed copies of our physical matchday programme, so keep an eye out across our socials over the next couple of weeks, as well as at the Weston Homes Stadium on March 8th!
General Manager Sam Winch commented: “We’re absolutely delighted that our upcoming fixture against Worcester City will be played at the Weston Homes Stadium. This is a significant moment for our women’s team and a reflection of the continued growth, progress and ambition surrounding the women’s game at our club.”
Mascot packages are still available; contact sam.winch@theposh.com for more information.
Every ticket sold sends a powerful message about the future of women’s football in the county, and gives your child the perfect opportunity to meet some of their favourite stars.
