Keir Perkins and Niamh Connor Pose With Shirts

A new chapter opens for Posh Women ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, with squad numbers and players’ names set to appear on the back of shirts for the first time in the club’s history.

Ahead of the new FA Women’s National League campaign, which is set to begin on Sunday 20th August with an away trip to Northampton Town Women, Posh Women players will have their names on the back of their shirts and will be in action for the first time on Sunday afternoon.

Manager Dan Lawlor has issued set squad numbers for all players for the new season, which will be confirmed shortly on all social channels and the website.

Posh Women's General Manager Bobby Copping said: “We are delighted that we were able to offer the opportunity for players to have their names on the back of their shirts and have their own squad number throughout the whole season.

“We have spoken about increasing professionalism on and off the pitch in the last 12 months, and this just highlights the further progression the club is making, while also rewarding the players for their achievements in the league and cup last season.”

Captain Keir Perkins, who is set to enter her ninth season with the club, said: “It’s definitely a pinch-yourself moment as a player to have names on the back of our shirts. The club has progressed massively over the last eight seasons and I have been here to see that, but it’s little details like this that show professionalism and is brilliant to see that as players, especially with our growing fanbase. So, we can’t wait to see all these shirts at the Abbey Lawn this season.”

The home shirt will be available to buy from Posh Club Shop at the Weston Homes Stadium and via the online store on Friday (18th August).

We can also announce that supporters will also have the opportunity to have their favourite players’ names printed on the back of their shirts, with FA Women’s National League personalisation also available from the Club Shop on Friday.
