The Posh Women have strengthened their squad ahead of the new season with the arrival of Scotland Under 23 international Brodie Greenwood.
The Peterborough United Women have made an eye-catching signing ahead of their first ever season at Tier 3 level with the arrival of former Hearts and Aberdeen midfielder Brodie Greenwood.
Greenwood, who made her debut for Aberdeen aged just 16, has already obtained a lot of experience of first team football in her short career so far and becomes Jake Poole's sixth summer recruit.
Poole said: "Bringing a player of the calibre and potential of Brodie to the football club is a massive step in the direction we are looking to take.
"I would like to say a huge thank you to Iain Crawford for his support and hard work in getting this over the line. We believe Brodie has the quality to be very successful at this level and beyond."
Greenwood is excited about the next chapter in her career and can't wait to get started. "I have been speaking a lot to Jake and Lou (Lou Roberts) , getting to know the club and I think it is the right place for me to come for the next chapter of my career and I am looking forward to the future.
"I play in the middle of the pitch, probably more of a defensive player, but I can play box to box too. I like to get stuck in and get on the ball and show my technique.
"Coming here, I see a club that has a real buzz to it, obviously they had a lot of success last season and everyone is excited about the challenge that is ahead. This is the best place for me to come and get stuck in," Greenwood said.
Director Iain Crawford, who is responsible for the Women's team, added: "I am absolutely to be able to bring Brodie to the football club - she is a very exciting young talent. It has been a real team effort to get the deal done and my thanks to Brodie and her family for being so open to working with us. Now she is here, I look forward to the impact she will have on the pitch,"
As part of this signing, the club are helping Brodie with her relocation and look forward to her continued development south of the border.
