The Posh Women continued their preparations for the new campaign with a comfortable 4-0 win over Northampton Town at the Bespoke Builds Training Ground.
Jake Poole's side were rarely troubled in the behind closed doors fixture and scored twice in each half as the whole squad were utilised in tough conditions on the 4G surface.
Posh started strongly and forced the Northampton Town goalkeeper into a string of early saves with Ellie May, Edyn Osker and Niamh Reynolds all denied.
Alice Higginbottom saw a rasping drive beaten to safety before the deadlock was broken as MAY fired home from close-range after excellent work down the right hand side.
Posh doubled the lead on 39 minutes as Reynolds won possession high, drove at the defence and timed her pass to Jess DRISCOLL to perfection and the midfielder produced a fine first-time finish with her left-foot to give the goalkeeper no chance.
A minute into the second half, Posh made it 3-0 as Camille JENKINS found herself in the right place at the right time to convert after the goalkeeper had saved from May following a Keir Perkins centre.
Lauren Wilshaw clipped the top of the bar from a corner and Niamh Connor saw a header saved from a set-piece before Posh found a fourth as WILSHAW ghosted in at the back post to find the back of the net after an excellent Rebecca Mears cross. Romy Saunders hit the bar with a deflected strike late on as Posh eased to a comfortable success.
