To celebrate International Women's Day, we are delighted to announce that the Posh Women will face Worcester City at the Weston Homes Stadium on Sunday 8th March (2pm).
The Posh Women, who currently top the FAWNL Division One Midlands table going into Sunday's trip to Stourbridge, will welcome Worcester to the Weston Homes Stadium for a key fixture as Jake Poole's side try and clinch promotion to Tier 3 of the Women's game.
Tickets are cheaper if purchased in advance and are now on sale here with the club hopeful of a good crowd to cheer on the side.
Posh Women General Manager Sam Winch said: "We’re absolutely delighted that our upcoming fixture against Worcester City will be played at the Weston Homes Stadium. This is a significant moment for our women’s team and a reflection of the continued growth, progress, and ambition surrounding the women’s game at our club.
"Playing at the main stadium is not only a fantastic experience for our players and staff, but also a powerful statement about the value and importance of women’s football within our wider football family.
"It provides a brilliant platform for our players to showcase their talent in front of a larger audience and gives our supporters the opportunity to come together in a special setting."
Manager Jake Poole added: "It's a fantastic opportunity for us, especially for the players to showcase themselves in a stadium environment. We hope it's an occasion that can bring lots of supporters out to help us continue what has been a successful season so far."
If purchased in advance, tickets are priced at £5 for adults, £2 for over 65s, £1 for Under 18s with Under 14s admitted FREE of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. The Kings Power Solutions Main Stand will be open for the game and following the final whistle, the Posh squad will stay pitchside to sign autographs and pose for pictures.
