Weston Homes Stadium

Posh have the chance to put right Saturday's defeat at Blackpool when they welcome Stevenage to the Weston Homes Stadium on Tuesday evening (7.45pm).

Peterborough United entertain Stevenage at the Weston Homes Stadium in Sky Bet League One action on Tuesday night (7.45pm) - only the second home game of the campaign in all competitions.

Luke Williams' side overcame Mansfield Town 2-1 in PE2, but have had two league games and two cup games on the road so far this season. Tuesday's game with Stevenage is the first of back-to-back home games this week with Sheffield Wednesday visiting at Saturday lunch-time.

Posh go into the game on the back of a 4-0 defeat at Blackpool while Stevenage drew 2-2 with Doncaster Rovers in their last league fixture.

TEAM NEWS

New signing Josh Feeney could go straight into the squad after arriving on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Aston Villa. Vernon Masara, who missed the defeat at Bloomfield Road is described as 'unlikely' to feature, but his injury is not expected to keep him out for an extended period.

Sam Hughes, Rio Adebisi, Matt Garbett and Declan Frith remain sidelined through injury. Stevenage striker Jamie Reid was heavily linked with Reading at the time of writing this preview.

Two young Villa players could come up against each other with Ben Broggio arriving at the SPORTA Arena from Villa in the last few days. Stevenage have a number of ex-Posh players in their squad including Carl Piergianni, Dan Butler and Lewis Freestone.

ONE TO WATCH

Jordan Roberts

Jordan Roberts (pictured below) has been absolutely crucial for Stevenage since signing for the club back in 2022. The versatile forward played a huge role in Boro's promotion to League One in his first season, as he scored 10 League Two goals to help the club over the line. In the third tier, Roberts has been everpresent and continues to be a real threat to sides up and down the country with his flair and experience. Before signing for Stevenage, he made 28 appearances for Motherwell and spent time in the Posh Academy.

MANAGER QUOTES

"Stevenage are a well organised, competitive side and last season we were on the wrong end of two 1-0 defeats, although both you could argue had mitigating circumstances. We have only played one home game so far this season so we are pleased to be back in front of our own supporters and the energy that they bring," Luke Williams said.

Tickets are on sale at www.theposhtickets.com and via the Weston Homes Stadium Ticket Office from 9am on Tuesday. Stevenage will be in the away section of the Kings Power Solutions Stand with the GH Display Stand closed.
