Posh welcome Plymouth Argyle to the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday afternoon in Sky Bet League One action (3pm).
Peterborough United will be looking to do the double over Plymouth Argyle when Tom Cleverely's side visit the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday afternoon in Sky Bet League One action (3pm).
A goal from Jimmy-Jay Morgan earned Posh all three points at Home Park earlier in the season and Luke Williams' side will be looking to build on last Saturday's 3-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers when they take on the Pilgrims.
Plymouth were 4-3 winners at Bristol Rovers in midweek, moving into the quarter-finals of the Vertu Trophy and arrive in good form with the club now out of the relegation zone.
TEAM NEWS
Posh are without the services of Sam Hughes, David Okagbue, Rio Adebisi, Ben Woods and Harley Mills due to injury. Woods is the nearest of that quintet to return to the first team squad.
Plymouth sold former Posh loanee Bali Mumba to Huddersfield Town in midweek and will be looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the transfer deadline.
Ronan Curtis impressed in midweek, creating three of the four goals following his move from Port Vale while Conor Hazard is expected to return between the sticks following an appearance by Luca Ashby-Hammond in that trophy success.
ONE TO WATCH
Lorent Tolaj
The Greens activated a substantial release clause for Tolaj in August 2025, and he joined the club on a four-year deal.
The Swiss youth international started his journey at FC Sion, before a move to Brighton’s youth teams. He was prolific for their U18s and U23s but was released at the end of his contract. He joined Aldershot Town upon his release and scored 21 goals in 48 games for the Shots which earned him a move to Vale, where he scored 16 goals in his debut season to help them to League Two promotion. He has already netted 15 goals in all competitions for Argyle so far this season.
MANAGER QUOTES
"I am really pleased that the Plymouth board of directors stuck by Tom Cleverley because he is an excellent manager and one that I have faced a couple of times in my managerial career. They have enjoyed some good form of late and are a strong side. We are in a good place, our home form has been good and we need to keep that going," Luke Williams said.
