Posh are back in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday as Luton Town visit the Weston Homes Stadium (3pm).
Peterborough United entertain Luton Town at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Robbie Savage takes charge of only his second Sky Bet League One fixture in PE2.
Of the six games he has been in charge for, four of the six have been away from home with the 2-2 draw against Burton Albion and the 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town Under 21s the only two at the Weston Homes Stadium.
Posh go into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Bradford City in the Carabao Cup while the Hatters won 3-1 over Doncaster Rovers in Sky Bet League One action.
TEAM NEWS
Posh have quite a few injury concerns ahead of the game with Owura Edwards, Harry Leonard and Brandon Khela all rated as 50/50 for the game. Josh Feeney, Lucca Mendonca and Harry Ashfield have also been in the treatment room since the game at the Mbanq Valley Parade.
Tom O'Connor and Sam Hughes are both fit with the latter set to be included in a first team squad for nearly 18 months. He has featured twice for the Under 21s in recent weeks and could feature for 45 minutes against the Hatters. Rio Adebisi and Ben Woods remain unavailable due to injury.
Striker Nahki Wells was forced off in the first half of the Hatters win over Doncaster Rovers with a foot injury and is rated as doubtful for the game. Shandon Baptiste and Gideon Kodua are expected to be out.
ONE TO WATCH
Kasey Palmer
Attacking midfielder Kasey Palmer (pictured below) signed permanently for the Hatters from Hull City in the summer of 2026 after an excellent half-season loan. He began his career in the academies of Charlton and then Chelsea, where he won two FA Youth Cups and an U21 Premier League title. Playing predominantly as a number ten, Palmer enjoyed a brilliant spell, winning the Vertu Trophy and netting eight times in 20 appearances to earn a permanent deal.
MANAGER QUOTES
"It feels like ages since we were at home, so first and foremost, it is great to be back at the Weston Homes Stadium in front of our own supporters. The fans on the road have been superb, I want to thank them for that backing. On Saturday, we come up against a good Luton Town side, but I have so much belief in this group of players and we are looking forward to the game. We have a few knocks and a few people who are doubts, but that presents opportunity for others," Robbie Savage said.
