Posh welcome Burton Albion to the Weston Homes Stadium in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday (12.30pm).
Peterborough United will look to make it three wins in a row in all competitions when they welcome Burton Albion to PE2 on Saturday (12.30pm) as Robbie Savage takes charge of his first league game at the Weston Homes Stadium.
After a 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town Under 21s in the Jersey Mike's Trophy, Posh recorded an impressive 3-1 win against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium last weekend.
Burton are managed by Gary Bowyer and have enjoyed a positive start to the campaign with notable wins over Leicester and Plymouth Argyle on the road.
TEAM NEWS
Midfielder Ben Woods has undergone a scan on his knee and is a doubt for the fixture with the Brewers, Tom O'Connor completed 45 minutes for the Under 21s in midweek and is expected to get an hour under his belt next week before a final 90 minute appearance before he is cleared for a first team return.
Sam Hughes could also feature in next week's Under 21 game, but has a longer road to a return to first team action. Rio Adebisi continues his rehabilitation from a long-term injury.
Burton are expected to be without Joe Lewis and Kyran Lofthouse due to injury.
ONE TO WATCH
Finn Delap
Finn Delap (pictured below) earned his first professional contract with the Brewers in 2023, after impressing in the Professional Development Phase. Born into a footballing family, Finn played his youth football at Derby County but was released when he was 16 years old. As a result the defender signed a scholarship at Burton Albion in 2021, and has been a part of the Brewers family ever since.
Whilst progressing through the ranks, the 19-year-old has already played plenty of senior football, having enjoyed loan spells at Ilkeston Town, Micklover, and most recently a short term spell with National League side Woking at the end of the 2023/24 season.
MANAGER QUOTES
"Burton are a good side, they are higher in the table than us, but it is about us, I want us to be focussing on us, I want the opposition to be worrying about what we do. We have lots of pace in the side, plenty of attacking intent and we will be looking forward to playing in front of our own supporters and putting in a positive performance," Robbie Savage said.
