The Posh Under 21s suffered a 2-0 defeat in the capital on the final day of the regular Professional Development League programme.

The Peterborough United Under 21s concluded their Professional Development League programme with a 2-0 defeat against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Tuesday afternoon.

The Hoops were largely in control of the contest and scored in each half to secure all three points against a Posh side which featured Andre Changunda and Joe Andrews, who both made their senior debuts at the weekend.

Goalkeeper Bastian Smith made a couple of eye-catching saves during the 90 minutes but the breakthrough came 10 minutes before the interval as BENNIE converted at the back post following good work from Vaughan.

Posh lost the services of Patryk Sykut to injury and conceded a second deep into stoppage time as DILLON slotted home after good work from Petrie.

Posh: Smith, Mendonca, Fitzpatrick, Fox, Claxton, Sumnall, Changunda, Andrews, Sykut, Campbell, Davies. Subs: Westcott, Gilbert, Beech, Holley, McWilliams-Marcano.
