The Posh Under 18s are back in league action on Saturday morning as they welcome Wigan Athletic to the city (11am).
The Peterborough United Under 18s won many plaudits for their performance at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening, and rightly so, as Manchester United were pushed all the way in the FA Youth Cup third round with the Red Devils eventually coming out on top 1-0.
Jimmy Unwin's side return to Professional Development League action this weekend as the Latics visit the Bespoke Builds Training Ground.
Wigan are second in the table, just one point behind leaders Sheffield United with Posh occupying eighth spot in the table although Unwin's side do have at least one game in hand on those around them.
TEAM NEWS
After the physical exertion against Manchester United, Unwin may choose to freshen his squad up for the visit of Wigan with Milan Kovaci the only confirmed absentee.
FROM THE MANAGER
"It is another tough game for the group against the team currently second in the league, but we are looking to show the learning from Tuesday's game. It should be a different type of match against very energetic opposition," Unwin said.
